Hello, I’m Quince Garcia. Through the Sydenham Arts trail, I’ve helped implement installations that let my illustrations and photographs speak directly to you. My work draws from a life that began in Camberwell and moved toward renewal through creativity and community. The images you’ll encounter confront childhood trauma and memory, then rise into moments of renewal when art becomes refuge and voice.
My photographs capture moments I cannot relive, yet I refuse to let them vanish. A single frame can hold forever what time would erase—a breath, a glance, a stubborn kiss of light between chaos and compassion. Through the lens, I wrestle with immortality: the urge to preserve meaning against the inevitability of loss. Each image says that a moment, once seen, endures in memory, in conversation, and in the shared space between us.
This trail also reflects my work with Roadworks Media, where filmmaking becomes empowerment for marginalised youth—from prop making to location scouting, collaboration builds resilience. I want you to leave with the sense that trauma can be reframed, dreams revived, and a community that answers back with care. Your presence supports young artists and families navigating hardship through collective creativity, shaping a kinder, stronger future.
